Who we are
Core Factor is provided by the Core Factor team. Contact: destek@getcorefactor.com.
What we collect
What you enter: name, sex, age, height, weight, goal weight, body measurements, activity and diet preferences, food log, workouts and records.
From Apple Health or Health Connect, only if you connect them: steps, active energy, weigh-ins and the workouts you approve (with their route if you choose). We only read; we never write to them.
For teams: the teams you join, and per day your steps, number of workouts, whether you met your calorie target and active calories (the last three can be hidden in Settings).
Your email address, if you save your account.
Location only while you record a walk, run or ride you started; the route is saved with that activity in your account and is never shown to teammates.
Progress photos and meal photos stay on your phone; they are not uploaded or backed up. A photo you add to a recipe you send in is uploaded with that recipe.
Water, fasting times and your weekly report summary (if you turn on the weekly email). We do not collect your contacts.
Feedback you send from the app: your message, the email you add (optional), app version, phone system and language.
Crash reports: when the app crashes, a technical report (error, screen name, app version, phone model and system) is sent to our crash reporting provider Sentry. It contains no health data, meals, weight or name.
Why
To calculate your targets, show your progress, run teams and prize events, and keep a backup so your data survives a lost or new phone.
Health data is never used for advertising or marketing and is never sold or shared with data brokers.
Who sees what
Teammates see your display name, city (from your time zone) and the daily team numbers above. They never see your weight, measurements or meals.
When you scan a barcode, only the barcode number is sent to Open Food Facts, a free open product database, and to Core Factor’s shared product list; a product you add from its label is saved to that list (name and nutrition values only, without your name) so the next person finds it. Our data is stored with Supabase in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). Crash reports are processed by Sentry. Weekly report emails are sent through our email provider. Recipes you send in are shown with your name once approved.
If you connect with a coach, dietitian or studio (gym, pilates) by entering their code, they (and, for a studio, its owner and the PT it assigns you) see a daily summary (calories, protein, carbs, fat, water, steps, workouts, weight, number of meals logged) and can leave you notes. They see meal names only if you turn on Share meals, and never your photos. Disconnecting deletes these summaries.
Core Factor shows no ads and does not track you across other apps or websites.
How long and your rights
We keep your data while you have an account. Profile → Account → Delete account removes your account, backup and team statistics permanently.
You can download your data as a CSV file in Settings at any time.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data at destek@getcorefactor.com. Depending on where you live (for example under KVKK in Türkiye or GDPR in the EU), you may also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Core Factor is for people aged 16 and over.
Changes
We will tell you in the app before an important change to this policy takes effect.
